In this issue – Anarchism and Technology – articles approach the question of relationships between anarchist politics and twenty-first century technologies. Michael Truscello and Uri Gordon’s guest editorial explores the current moment of technological development and the historical and contemporary possibilities for theorisations of revolutionary anarchist conjunctions with technology. Ben Brucato’s article defines the challenges faced by anarchists in confrontation with the ‘peak everything’ scenario of resource scarcity and climate change. John Duda locates the entry of self-organisation into the movement’s vocabulary, and its roots in an encounter between libertarian politics and cybernetic science. Finally Matt Wilson and Dmytry Kleiner engage in an email exchange on technological politics, approaching technology from quite different backgrounds.  Their discussion is a productive one ranging from the significance of the internet’s material infrastructure to the capture of its liberatory potential by capitalism, and on to visions for the role of digital media in a world beyond capitalism.
