More details

Franz Hebenstreit of Streitfeld (born  November 26, 1747 in Prague ; died  January 8, 1795 in Vienna , "hung for high treason") was one of the heads of the Vienna Democrats, commonly known as the Vienna Jacobins. He was a social utopian with reference to Jean-Jacques Rousseau , Étienne Gabriel Morelly , Jean Meslier and Gabriel Bonnot de Mably . His friend and fcomrade Andreas Riedel called him unceremoniously a Communist possibly the first use of the term in German.
