Feminism for all
This design was inspired by the first ever anarcha-feminist group and newpaper, La Voz de la Mujer (The Voice of Women). Based in Buenos Aires Argentina in 1890. These women fought for women’s rights and the liberation of the working class, forming some of the very first labor unions.
Artwork created by Ashlee Stewack for the first ever sign painting exhibition at the Chicago Art Department featuring all women. Ladies from all over the world were celebrated for their craftsmanship in traditional sign painting technique.
